Some examples of how sand casting is used are the production of cylinder heads and engine blocks. The material is heated to the right temperature during the sand casting process to trigger melting. Sometimes the material is treated to change the chemical composition to accomplish the relevant material properties. The liquefied metal is then poured into a container with the preferred shape chamber to cool before solidifying.
Designers should consider various process requirements to create the ideal sand casting at a low price. They should also know the limitation of sand casting.
