The coffin or casket with the body is brought into a chapel for the funeral service. This way, the family can have an open-casket funeral if they want to.

Once the funeral service is over, the cremation service begins. The coffin is taken into the crematory. There, it is loaded into a cremation chamber. Modern cremation chambers have temperature controls to ensure the process is successful.

After the cremation is complete, the ashes are gathered separately from all other ashes and placed into storage vessels to cool. Once they are cool enough to handle, they can be placed in the appropriate storage containers for the family. They are then packaged with information about the deceased person.

The ashes are stored with the appropriate documentation until the family comes to pick them up from the crematorium.
